Basu, who is a structural engineer by background, is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Pennsylvania and Illinois.
He also possesses a real estate managing broker license in the state of Illinois.
He holds a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Jadavpur University, Calcutta, India,
Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Florida.
He also holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
